Disruption and Innovation in the Civic Century
Civic life today takes on a different meaning than it did at the beginning of 2020. This year’s opening session – Disruption and Innovation in the Civic Century – draws across all disciplines, featuring leaders and everyday heroes and heroines who have stepped up for what they believe in to make the world a better place. Join us for inspiration and insights about how the sector is innovating in response to the disruptor of a lifetime, the global pandemic.
When this event was shifted to an online experience in response to the global pandemic the decision was made to pre-record the content. Since recording the content, the death of George Floyd had sparked global outcry for justice for Mr. Floyd, and for Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and many others.
While the content does not specifically address current events related to social justice reform, the sessions will go deep into the work people are doing in communities around the world. It will provide tools to advance our collective work and remove barriers so that all people can be fully engaged in living a civic life.
