We at Points of Light grieve for the families, friends and communities affected by the recent rash of mass shootings. Events like these are too many in number and have a devastating impact on individuals, communities and our society. 

As a way of processing and problem-solving around gun violence, we invite you to join us and our partners at Morehouse College on Friday, June 10, at 1 p.m. ET, for a special Listen. Learn. Act to End Racism conversation that will explore the realities of gun violence, the roles of racism and implicit bias in this epidemic and what we can do to take action. Our lineup of speakers includes: 

  • Clarissa Myrick-Harris, PhD, chair, Division of Humanities and professor of Africana Studies, Morehouse College​
  • Dr. Bryant Marks, associate professor of psychology at Morehouse College and founding director, National Training Institute on Race and Equity
  • Attorney Kelly Sampson, senior counsel and director of racial justice, Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence
  • Kristy Judd, president and CEO, Spark the Change Colorado
